The Shelly Videos - #2

The Heart is a Reversable Organ

Shelly tells of her courage and the pain she encountered after disclosing her positive status to friends and family.

She lost a life she loved and gained a new one supported by people who want her to, not just survive, but thrive while living with HIV.

When Shelly was diagnosed with HIV she allowed the things she loved and gave her the most pleasure to slip away. She felt the pain of friends and loved ones turn away from her upon disclosure of her positive status, and was embraced by those who held fast to her.

Shelly tells a story of hope and empowerment over the stigma and rejection faced by many living with HIV and is a story of hope paid for by the loss of a life she loved.
